A beauty blogger has been forced to apologise after describing Asian people as 'ching chongs' while promoting Korean cosmetic products.
Swiss model Cocomadkilla sparked outrage after using the slur, with social media users describing her remarks as 'totally disgusting'.
Following the heavy criticism, she has since taken down the blog post and apologised for her 'joke', saying she 'never meant to offend anyone'.
Reviewing Korean brand Glowrious in the original piece on her blog, she wrote: 'Many of us donât always understand the âching chongsâ with the black hair and funny clothes (hihi).

Social media users immediately slammed her 'racist' comments, with some calling on brands to drop their support.
One wrote: 'This kind of racism really takes the p*** when you consider how many pioneers of the blogging industry were S.E. Asian too. So messed up'Â
Another added: 'How in THE F*** is cocomadkilla calling asians "ching chong" on a post where she's promoting Korean makeup..........'Â

Meanwhile, one Twitter simply wrote: 'don't support @/cocomadkilla. tell your friends.'Â
Following the backlash, Cocomadkilla posted a statement in which she apologised for the piece, describing her remarks as a joke.
She wrote: 'Recently things have been going crazy over a joke I made. A joke without realising it would have such an impact and offend so many people.Â
'I would like to state that I never meant to offend anyone. Iâm sorry if that was the case.âÂ

The blogger added: âI am of Italian descent and continuously make jokes about myself too. Those who know me know that my humour comes with an edge but I am certainly not a racist.
âI have many different friends of different origin and culture and appreciate these people very much.Â
'Acceptance and individuality is important and I am against any kind of racism. I hope we can all move on.â Â
Cocomadkilla has since made her Instagram page private and appears to have deleted her Facebook account.Â

Another noted that the comments were particularly outrageous considering she was promoting Korean makeup Â
