The most amusing Photoshop makeovers on the web revealed

It's been nearly 30 years since Photoshop was first introduced, and what a tool it has become.

It can be used for good, for evil, and definitely to incite humour.

Many of these examples, the vast majority of them starring animals, were already absurd or amusing before the Photoshop wand was waved, but take on a whole new lease of life when altered.

A hamster struggling with a stick of spaghetti, for example, has had its prop replaced with a hoover and a bear peering through a glass door was transformed into a door-to-door Mormon preacher.

Others see the world's most powerful leaders, from Donald Trump to George Bush, painted into some very unusual scenarios.

Suck-ccessful  job: A hamster struggling to gnaw on a spaghetti stick is funny enough on its own, but further elevated by its replacement with a vacuum cleaner (right) 

Like magic: Equally, a dog seemingly walking on water is one thing (left), but Jesus solemnly leading it is quite another (right)

Red-handed: Whatever this leopard has spotted in the wild has seemingly given it a fright, in much the same way that being busted stealing a midnight snack might in a more domestic setting (right)

Don't rain on my parade: Most people would look comical with a plastic bag on their head, but a former president and a wave of the Photoshop wand ups the ante

Slacker: There's always one friend who proves useless on moving day (left), but the stakes are greatly heightened on the right, when he's superimposed into the White House situation room

Well-earned: The options were limitless with this highly animated cat, and it was certainly deserving of a lightsaber and a Star Wars battle

Ho ho ho: In this case, a somewhat dangerous-looking stunt is transformed into a magical Father Christmas scene, complete with sleigh and reindeer
