Trump's handshake attempt ignored by Polish First Lady

Trump's handshake attempt ignored by Polish First Lady

Donald Trump has been left hanging by another woman on his latest foreign trip â€" but at least this time it’s not his wife.

After previously having his hand swatted away by Melania on his first trip to Europe and the Middle East, Trump was left in an awkward spot again by Poland's Agata Kornhauser-Duda.

Donald and Melania were on stage with their Polish counterparts, Agata and her husband, President Andrzej Duda, in Warsaw when some official photographs had to be taken.

But when it was time to shake hands and smile for the cameras, Kornhauser-Duda skipped straight past Donald and went to Melania.

As a result, the president was left looking somewhat silly as a scowl slowly spread across his face.

The Polish First Lady did shake hands with Donald a few moments later, but it didn't stop people reacting to the snub on social media.

'Oh yes, that's amazing. Now he's going to nuke Poland though!!' one person jokingly tweeted.

'Trump stunned lol,' another wrote.

'Look at that little boy pout,' another user tweeted.'

'Best part is he realized it and looked abashed. Sad,' another added, mocking Trump's tweeting style.

Earlier, the president used a joint press conference to rail against the American media, before admitting Russia interfered in the 2016 election.

'As you know, now they have some pretty serious problems,' Trump said about CNN after being asked a question by a reporter.

'They have been fake news for a long time. They've been covering me in a very, uh, very dishonest way.

'But CNN and others - and others; I mean NBC is equally as bad... but I will say that CNN has really taken it too seriously, and I think they've hurt themselves very badly, very, very badly.

'We don't want fake news. Bad thing. Very bad for our country.'

After being asked repeatedly about Russia's interference in the election, Trump was much less definitive with his words.

'I think it was Russia, but it could've been other people and other countries,' he said, before spinning off into a rant blaming President Barack Obama for not interfering in the election himself to stop the interference from Moscow.
