- Photos showed a white dot streaking across the sunrise on July 5
- Witnesses were at loss to explain it and aviation authorities called it a mystery
A UFO with 'four jet streams' photographed zipping across Sydney's northern beaches has baffled aviation authorities.
Locals saw the white dot move across the beach sky about 7am on July 5 and were at  a loss to explain what it was.
Photographer Gus Medero was taking sunrise shots of Bangalley Head in Avalon Beach when he got a close up photo of the object.

He said the mysterious shape looked like it had 'four jet streams' coming out of it and was probably a satellite if he had to guess.
Blake Hirst was on Dee Why beach and said it was was the strangest thing he'd ever seen and was going too fast to be a drone.
'My friend pointed out this strange object in the sky and my first thoughts was that it was a plane coming into land,' he said.
'The object hovered in the same place for about 10 minutes before floating across the the sunrise then took off out to sea flying back up to space.

'I don't believe in UFOs, ghost or aliens back this was something you had to see to believe.'Â
A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority said it was a mystery as to what the object was after seeing photos of it.
'At that time of the morning the light often makes things look different than they are,' he told the Manly Daily.
It's not the first time a UFO was spotted in the area with another mysterious object photographed hovering above a morning sunrise over Dee Why beach in 2014.
