UK Weather: Britain prepared for hot Wimbledon weekend
Britain is set to bask in another bout of warm weather this weekend, as the mercury rises to around 77F (25C) with the Wimbledon men's final enjoying top temperatures of 81F (27C).
It will be prime time to get the barbecues out as residual rain from the tail end of the week clears in time for the Centre Court action in the women's final on Saturday, brightening further as the world watches to see who will be crowned the new men's champion the next day.
For the rest of Thursday, conditions will resemble Wednesday in most parts of the country, with cloud cover and some showers in central and western parts of England and Wales.

A Met Office spokesman explained: 'There will be a band of rain moving eastwards from Western Scotland, but it will disappear before it gets much further south.
'On Friday, it's a much drier picture over the whole of the UK. The brightest start will happen in the west, with Northern Ireland getting the best start. There will be another pulse of rain in western Scotland in the early evening and wind strengthening.
'Rain will weaken as it goes, but there will be some rainfall in Scotland and northern England.
'The south will remain dry.
'On Saturday, it's the same picture, with showers and breezy winds in the west. The pattern continues in the west but brightening in Scot land.Â
'There may be cloud and a few showers.
'In Wimbledon, there will be clouds and a risk of rain in the morning, but dry in the afternoon, with perhaps the odd sunny spell.'
Although some places will have to endure some showers, there should be plenty of sun and warmer temperatures towards the end of the weekend

Temperatures are expected to reach as high as 77F (25C) on Saturday, but the weekend may still feel humid.
As well as all the sports action from SW19, thousands will be descending onto Henham Park, in Suffolk from today, for Latitude festival.
Temperatures there will hover around 66F (19C) for the next few days, but could rise as the festival draws to a close on Sunday.
The final day will bring stormy weather but warmer temperatures of 73F (23C).Â
For Saturday through to Monday, the Met Office predicts: 'Cloudy at times in the north with spells of rain and strong winds over the weekend. Drier and brighter further south, though turning humid. Largely dry and bright on Monday.'Â
It comes after Brits had to find their brollies again, when most of the country was hit by wet weather earlie r this week after several days of sunshine.Â
