Gloucester model's breast implants explodedin car crash

An aspiring underwear model claims her breast implants exploded after she was caught in the middle of a five-car pile-up.

Becky Bitchenor, 25, from Gloucester says she feels 'trapped in an old woman's body' after the horror crash left her with severe injuries, and needing a zimmer frame to get about.

Along with burst-open implants, the brunette beauty says she suffered whiplash, and two slipped discs.

And she claims a three-day wait for surgery also led to the implants becoming infected.

The injuries mean she will not be able to work for the rest of the year and have left her too self-conscious to show her body.

Becky was travelling along the A48 near to the Chepstow Racecourse with her friend and her friend's partner when the crash happened shortly before 4pm on July 14.

The car she was in was caught in the middle of the five-car smash. Becky, sitting in the back seat, was covered in glass as the rear windscreen shattered and felt the boot slam into her back.

The mum-of-one, who also works at a care home, said: 'It was absolutely horrific. I have never known pain like it and I was scared for my life.

'I had to haul myself from the car because I could smell petrol and I was terrified I would burn alive inside.

'As soon as I got out I lay down on the ground. I knew something was wrong with my legs immediately because they did not feel right.

'I was covered in glass and hurting all over.

'But I did not realise my boobs had burst until I was in the ambulance and they started getting covered in blood. I was in absolute agony.

'I had only recently had breast surgery to help with my modelling career and they had completely opened again in the crash.'

Becky was rushed to Gloucester Royal Infirmary in an ambulance.

She was diagnosed with two slipped discs, whiplash, burst breast implants, severe swelling and bruising, multiple cuts to the head, and a numb right leg.

The unlucky model had to wait three days for an operation to repair her implants, during which time they became infected.

She was kept in hospital for two weeks, missing her five-year-old son Harry's last day of school and his birthday.

Becky said: 'The pain was terrible and all over my body. It was the worst I have ever had.

'It was horrible lying in the hospital bed. I couldn't move and I felt so helpless.

'It was a massive lift when my boy came to see me on his birthday. But it felt awful that I couldn't be with him to celebrate at home.

'My right leg was completely numb and it shakes when I try to walk. I'm supposed to start physiotherapy to help me with it but I can't until the whiplash gets better.

'I've been left feeling like I'm trapped in an old woman's body. Having to use a Zimmer frame at 25 is horrendous.'

Now back at home, Becky has to rely on her friends and family to help look after her and her son.

She struggles to leave the house and the extent of her injuries mean she will not be able to go back to work until next year.

The model is also extremely worried about the effect the crash will have on her career.

Becky said: 'I got my breast implants done to help my modelling career, but I've had to have them redone.

'When my plastic surgeon did it he only left a very small scar and I felt great.

'Now the scar is much larger and it's made me self-conscious. I don't know if I'll be able to do any underwear modelling. It gets me down.

'I'm so lucky to have my family around me to look after me, but on the days you don't see anyone you just feel horrible.

'I used to go out for lots of walks with my son and he keeps asking if we can go out. I feel bad that I keep having to say no to him, but I'm struggling to get around the house, let alone go outside.'

Becky says she is frustrated with the police's response to the accident, and claims they have not investigated the matter fully.

'I feel like I have been let down, and it's very frustrating.'

'An ambulance attended but there were no reports of serious injuries and officers spoke to all drivers involved.

'Subsequently, around a week later, it was reported to police that one person had sustained an injury.

'The caller requested information relating to the exchange of details for insurance purposes and officers facilitated this request.'
