An extreme sports fanatic has caught the moment he combined skiing and base-jumping (SkiBASE) to get across a huge glacier.Â
Tim Howell and friend Maria Steinmayr had already skied off the Grand Montets lift in Chamonix, France when they had to find a way to traverse the Argentiere Glacier, one of the largest in the Mont Blanc mountain range.Â
After some discussion and a 'fist bump' with Maria footage from Tim's helmet camera shows him cascading down the mountain top towards a drop.Â
Tim drops down the edge of a mountain deep in the AlpsÂ
After falling for a few moments he successfully opened his parachute to float downÂ
After dallin a few seconds of falling off the mountain he opens his parachute and shouts 'woohoo.'
A camera attached to one of his skis shows a different angle to the terrifying drop and catches Maria floating in the background after jumping off the edge a few moments after Tim.Â
The pair directed their parachutes to the ground and effortlessly landed flat on their skis, ready to set off once more. Â
Thrill seekers Tim and Maria were en-route to icy damn where they would perform yet another base jump.
Tim is an expert adventure seeker who loves combining base jumping and skiing, climbing and most outdoor activities.Â
The clip was released earlier this week. Â
