The group stayed for around two weeks during which time a dozen vehicles could be seen at the site.
A witness told the News Shopper last week: 'The residents are up in arms and the council have been informed.'
But the landowners had to take out a private injunction before the group could be moved on.
But on Thursday morning Bickley Police posted a picture on Twitter of the appalling state of the area along with the caption: 'The travellers have moved on from the site. Sadly they didn't take their rubbish with them #flytipping.'
The photograph showed bricks, wood and bags of rubbish piled high and stretching out across the whole field.
The entrance to the site has now been padlocked and a skip can be seen blocking the gate.
