He blasted the decision to fine him, asking who had priority on court. He called it a 'joke'
He was penalised by the umpire, docked a point, and later given two fines for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Mannarino, 29, who beat Japan's Yuichi Sugita during the second-round match on Thursday, protested to the umpire.
He said: 'What did I do? I was just passing by. We were shoulder to shoulder.
'I was just trying to move. I was slowing down, (he) was close to me, I had to stop it.'
He added: 'It's a joke. I'm hurting myself just not to hurt (him) and you give me a warning.
He said 'I'm not hitting him. I'm hitting him as much as he's hitting me.' American Jack Sock has also been fined this week
