Woman is horrified by steamed chicken and rice dinner

A woman has been left horrified after a friend invited her round for a 'roast dinner' - but instead served up a dish of steamed chicken and rice.

The Mumsnet user, who did not give her name, told how she was 'thrilled' to be invited round for supper but was shocked to be given a plate of cheesy spinach, cauliflower, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and rice.

To add insult to injury, the dish was 'all covered in gravy and cheese with a big dollop of mayo, she said in the expletive-filled rant. 

Taking to the parenting site, she labelled her friend 'f***ing insane' before asking fellow Mumsnetters if she was being unreasonable - and the answer was a unanimous 'no'.

The general consensues was that, without roast potatoes, it couldn't possibly qualify as a roast

Others took pity on the friend, noting that her signature dish was more infamous than famous

On learning that the friend also puts cheese on a curry, others ordered her to 'kill her now'

Some Mumsnetters were simply lost for words, with Essie Tregowan writing: 'What the f***?'
