Woman leaves over-the-top list of rules for her dog sitter
A dedicated dog owner left her nephew an over-the-top list of instructions when she had to leave her precious pet in his care, telling him the pooch can't have carbs for snacks, should follow a strict meal schedule, and must FaceTime with her regularly.
Elaine Diaz of Fresno, California asked her nephew Tommy Rios to look after her three-year-old Pomeranian, who is named Pepper earlier, this month while she was traveling.
The amused Tommy, who is 20, shared her list last week on Twitter, where the dog owner's incredibly detailed requirements have gathered attention.
Pampered: Elaine Diaz (pictured) of Fresno, California asked her nephew Tommy Rios to look after her three-year-old Pomeranian called Pepper â" and left a very detailed list of instructions
Over-the-top: Elaine titled her list 'Pepper, the most beautiful girl in the world', and detailed the dog's strict meal schedule, acceptable displays of affection, and recommended games
Forbidden: The instructions didn't fit on one page, so Elaine used another sheet of paper to add a list of don'ts, telling her nephew not to yell at Pepper even if she barks
Elaine titled her list 'Pepper, the most beautiful girl in the world', and began by telling her nephew exactly how to feed the Pomeranian. As per her strict schedule, Pepper must eat breakfast at 8am while dinner is served at 5pm.
Both meals must consist of one quarter cup of food and a full bowl of fresh water.
Should Pepper need a snack, the list makes it clear she's allowed 'no carbs', but can have a 'dog bone every other day'.
Play time is regulated too and must include a daily game of fetch. During the game, Tommy was instructed to shoot a ball with a 'green gun'. Additionally, the pooch can take a walk around the block, but it is optiona l.Â
Apparently, no other games or forms of play are permitted.Â
The list includes a special section for displays of affection, telling Tommy he can feel free to communicate his loving feelings for the pup through big hugs, sniffs and belly rubs.
However, it does not mention scratches, baby talk, or snuggling, and it is unclear if those types of affection are not allowed or have just been forgotten.

Viral: Tommy's message has now been retweeted more than 57,000 times, with several users pointing out they know similarly high-maintenance pets
Elaine felt so nervous being away from Pepper she instructed her nephew to send her a photo of Pepper every day so she could see the pooch is OK.
The dog owner also requested FaceTime sessions so she could talk to her beloved pet.
Her instructions didn't fit on one page, so she used another sheet of paper to add a list of don'ts.
Tommy was thus told never to yell at Pepper, not even when she barks. 'She barks when you get home, barks when she hears a suspicious noise, and barks to communicate,' Elaine wrote as an explanation.
The nephew was also asked not to hit, spank or kick the dog, and Elaine added: 'Don't you hurt her!' She instructed h im to keep an eye on the dog at all times for fear Pepper would escape.
Ending on an especially sassy note, Elaine told Tommy: 'And most important... Don't you hate her cause you ain't her!'

Loving it: The dog owner found the attention attracted by her list 'so funny', and according to an update posted by Tommy, Pepper herself was quite pleased too
It is unclear if some of the incredibly detailed instructions were simply suggestions or actual rules for what is and is not allowed.Â
Tommy saw the humor in the strict note, though, and posted a photo of Pepper along with the list on Twitter, writing: 'My aunt is having me house sit and watch her dog and omg she's too much lol.'
His message has now been retweeted more than 57,000 times, with several users pointing out they know similarly high-maintenance pets.
Elaine, who told BuzzFeed News she treats Pepper 'like a child', called the attention 'so funny' â" and revealed her nephew actually failed to send her daily photos of the pooch like she'd request ed.
'He's going to get in trouble for that,' she said jokingly. 'He didn't quite do it every day.'Â
