Peach peeling video by Twitter user Okada goes viral

A video of a woman peeling a peach with her hands has taken Twitter by storm, as thousands admit they are blown away by the news that you can easily remove the skin from the fruit.

A Japanese Twitter user named Okada shared a clip of herself using her two thumbs to gently remove the skin from a peach in July, and the footage was shared over 52,000 times.

However, the mesmerizing clip went viral again just a week later when Twitter user @glutenfreeafro retweeted the clip, writing: 'I'm so confused u can peal peaches?'

In less than a week, her message of disbelief was shared a whopping 94,000 times, with plenty of people weighing in with their thoughts on the matter.   

'Out of my 30 years of life, I have never seen someone peel a MF'n peach,' someone named El Rey noted. 

Sabado Gigante added: 'If I [was] supposed to be peeling peaches this entire time - my whole life is a lie.' 

And another person shared a GIF of a woman with her hand clasped over her mouth, writing: 'All this time I've been eating the damn skin...'

Okada told BuzzFeed that the hypnotic video came to be after she saw a tweet explaining how you can peel a peach with ease if you put the fruit in hot water for 20 seconds and then in cold water for five minutes before removing the skin. 

And while she was incredibly pleased with the hack, she clearly wasn't the only one amazed by it.

In response to the video's success, some people went on to debate whether or not you should be peeling the skin off.

After someone known as Thottie Spice asked who would peel a peach in the first place, a woman replied: 'I would; I don't like the fuzzies.'

'The fuzzies are part of the experience,' he argued. 'I guess it's a preference.' 

Someone else shared a GIF of Oprah Winfrey shaking her head, explaining she was shaking her head because if you peel off the skin you are 'losing all the nutrients'.

However, things got a bit strange when people started to comment on the video being inadvertently sexual, comparing the peach to someone's derriere. 

'Someone takin a peaches panties off,' one person wrote, another added: 'Damnn shorty thiccc.'

Samurai Jacke agreed, writing: 'Peaches thick af.'

And one person admitted: 'I feel weird watching this peach undress.'
