Meet Ezrah Dormon, 12, the tattoo artist wowing the world
A talented 12-year-old boy has taken his first steps as a tattoo artistâ"and has already completed 20 designs on those willing to trust his skills.
Ezrah Dormon, of Panama City, Panama, first tried his hand at the tattoo gun while his mother was getting a red flower inked onto her skin. The middle-schooler, then 11, wished out loud he could do the same thing, and tattoo artist Ali Garcia offered to have him fill in some of the lines.
Since then, Garcia has become Ezrah's mentor, and the young apprentice, who appears in a new video shared this weekend by Now This, is still growing his skills at Honolulu, her tattoo parlor.

Talented: Ezrah Dormon, 12, of Panama City, Panama, has taken his first steps as a tattoo artistâ"and has already completed 20 designs on those willing to trust his skills
Learning: The middle-schooler, who is an apprentice at a tattoo parlor named Honolulu, often practices drawing with a tattoo gun on grapefruits (pictured)
After coloring part of his mother's tattoo, Ezrah, who goes by The Shark as a tattoo artist, went through another milestone when he drew his first back lines on his father's arm.
An emotional video of the moment shows the boy, equipped with white gloves and a buzzing tattoo gun, looking extremely focused as he etches a short black line onto his dad's skin.
'I was holding my breath!' he says afterwards, while his mentor congratulates him for the 'amazing' feat.
It was Ezrah's vocal enthusiasm for the tattooing world that landed him his current apprenticeship at Honolulu.
'I was just getting that tattoo and Ezrah was just sitting there watching us and talking,' his mother recounted. 'And he was like, "Wow, I really wish I could try that. I would love to know how to do that," and Ali was, like, "Well, why don't you try it now?" '
Teaching: Ezrah first tried his hand at the tattoo gun while his mom was getting inked, and his now-mentor Ali Garcia (pictured with Ezrah) asked him if he wanted to fill in some of the lines
Clients: The boy (pictured with a customer) regularly thanks his mentor on social media and has written about how grateful he is to those who let him tattoo them
Ezrah accepted the offer. At first, he admitted he felt 'a little bit nervous', but he then started more comfortable as things started 'flowing'.
Since then, Garcia has taught the boy how to draw more shapes, including roses, panthers, swallows, snakes and, of course, sharks. In order to practice with the tattoo gun, Ezrah regularly draws on grapefruits using the tool.
Several customers, including Ezrah's math teacher, have agreed to have him complete a design onto their skin.
The boy, who regularly thanks his mentor on social media and talks about how much he enjoys learning, has written about how grateful he is to those who let him tattoo them.
Skills: As part of his apprenticeship, Ezrah sometimes adds touches of color to tattoos previously outlined by his mentor (as was the case for the design pictured)
Spirit animal: Ezrah, who goes by The Shark as a tattoo artist, colored in the pink in this tattoo after Garcia took care of the lines and shades
'Whenever someone comes to get a tattoo, they always have to know that I'm still learning, that I'm just an apprentice,' Ezrah said.
'So if they feel comfortable offering up a part of their body that I can do and try to do my best job I can.'
While the young tattoo artist has yet to get inked, he intends to keep cultivating his talents in the future and have them be a part of his professional life.
'I want to do something when I'm older that makes me really happy,' he added. 'What I want to do is, maybe I would, like, travel around the world with my tattoo gun, or when I go to college I'll have that in my suitcase that I can just pull out and give a tattoo to earn money.'
